- Can Kirocast replace Loom for team updates?
- Only partially. Kirocast produces video files you can share however you like, but it has no cloud library, viewer analytics, or comment threads. If your team lives in those features, keep Loom for messaging and use Kirocast for the recordings that go to an agent or to a customer.
- Loom already transcribes and summarises with AI. How is this different?
- Where the output lands, and what is in it. Loom’s transcript and summary are produced in its cloud and read through Loom. Kirocast writes its record to your disk next to the video, and it covers what a transcript alone cannot: every click and its timing, every zoom and mask, on the exported video’s timeline. That is what lets an agent line up “you clicked Publish at 0:05” with “nothing happened for 1.4 seconds”.
- Does Kirocast upload my recordings anywhere?
- No. Kirocast records, transcribes and processes locally on your Mac. Your recordings are files you own and publish wherever you choose.
- Is there a free tier?
