Narration in AI exports

  • Export for AI transcribes your narration on the way out, so the agent gets a transcript next to the video and the events file and can read what you said, not just what you did.

  • Picking Area on the recording bar drops you straight into selecting the area, the same as the menu bar shortcut, instead of making you press Record afterwards.

Fixes

  • The "Drag to select an area" hint sits below the notch on MacBooks instead of behind it.

Transcripts, captions & tap-tap effects

New

  • Voice transcription runs on-device while Kirocast records your narration.
  • Captions with a dedicated transcript tab, including karaoke-style highlighting that follows the voice.
  • Tap-tap effects add hand-tap annotations with a hinged press warp and impact rebound. Kirocast can detect them from your clicks, or you can place them manually.
  • Every export writes a sidecar next to the video, so an AI agent can read what happened in the recording instead of watching it. It is the record Talk mode hands your agent, and it is on by default.
  • Camera controls in the editor: toggle the webcam bubble on or off, and size and position it per project.
  • Project bundles can now hold multiple recording sessions.

  • Expanded wallpaper presets, with faster loading.
