Keyboard shortcuts

Every shortcut Kirocast answers to. The recording shortcuts work from any app once Accessibility is allowed, so the thing you want to record can stay in front.

Reference

Recording, from any app

⌘⇧5Show or hide the recording bar. During a recording, it brings the controls back in front.
⌃⌘↩New recording: open the recording bar and bring Kirocast forward
⌥⌘3Record your main display, right away
⌥⌘4Open the window list; pick a window, then press Record
⌥⌘5Drag out an area; recording starts as you let go, and Esc cancels
hold ⌃⌥Talk mode, for as long as you hold

These rely on Accessibility. Permissions shows how to allow it.

Sharing ⌘⇧5 with macOS

macOS also uses ⌘⇧5 for its own Screenshot toolbar, so both can appear together. To give the shortcut to Kirocast alone, open System Settings → Keyboard → Keyboard Shortcuts… → Screenshots and switch off Screenshot and recording options.

Less explaining.
More showing.

Your next good idea deserves a clear recording.
